In 2020, Ukasi Compassionate Heart Foundation embarked on a mission to bring hope and opportunity to the lives of needy children within the community. That year, the foundation identified nine bright but vulnerable students from different schools who were struggling to continue their education due to financial challenges.
Among them was Felix Muthui from Kyuso Boys High School, a determined student whose dream was to become an engineer. Rhoda Mutisya from Yambyu Girls High School showed exceptional promise in her studies, while Emma Kiema and Ali Esther Mueni, both from Kyondoni Girls High School, stood out for their leadership and academic excellence.
Peter Kitheka and Samson Mwandi, both studying at Ngomeni Boys High School, were passionate about science and sports, and their enthusiasm inspired their peers. Joyce Kimuti from St. Teresa’s Girls High School was known for her kindness and dedication, while Joseph Mui from Kyuso Boys High School showed remarkable resilience and discipline.
Finally, Elizabeth Kakii, a pupil at Ngaaie Special School, touched the hearts of many with her courage and determination to overcome challenges despite her special needs.
Through the generous support of Ukasi Compassionate Heart Foundation, these nine children were able to continue their education, pursue their dreams, and inspire others in their community. The year 2020 became a memorable chapter of compassion and transformation—proof that a helping hand can change the course of a child’s future.
