In November 2018, Ukasi Compassionate Heart Foundation continued its mission of transforming lives through education by offering financial assistance to needy students across various schools. The foundation recognized the struggles of many bright children who faced the risk of dropping out due to lack of school fees, and stepped in to ensure their education continued uninterrupted.
That year, the beneficiaries of the foundation’s generosity included Judy Wamtu, Innocent Nzioka, and Susan Kitonga, all students at St. Teresa’s Girls Secondary School, who had shown outstanding academic effort and discipline. Musila Muthui from Kisasi Boys, and Mwangangi Maweu and Eric Juma from Mwingi Boys High School, also received support to pursue their dreams.
Mulei Mwiru of Ngomeni Boys and Dominic Muthui of Nuu Boys were similarly supported, ensuring they could remain in school and continue working toward a brighter future. The foundation’s support also extended to Grace Kimanzi of St. Angela’s Girls, Kanyiva Mawia of Ndatani Girls, and Gloria Nduku, who was studying at Jordan College in Thika.
Among the beneficiaries was Elizabeth Kakii from Maii School for the Blind, whose determination to learn despite her visual impairment deeply inspired the foundation and community alike. The foundation also offered help to David Mumbo, a trainee at Mwingi West Teachers Training College, and Alex Mailu of Kalonzo Secondary School.
A special acknowledgment was given to Mr. Enoch Nguthu, who, through the courtesy of Ukasi Compassionate Heart Foundation, fully paid the school fees for Mwoki Mutua, demonstrating the power of partnership and goodwill in changing young lives.
Through these acts of compassion, the Ukasi Compassionate Heart Foundation once again proved that education is not just a privilege—it is a right that can open doors to endless possibilities when nurtured with kindness and support.
